1-5-12 In an atom what does each of your five parts do?

- The electrons control the atom because the electrons are on the outer side of the nucleus acting like a shield.
- When you change the number of neutrons in the nucleus you will end up with a different name. so then the neutrons control what kind of element.
- The protons control the weight of the atom.
- When the numbers of protons and electrons aren’t equal you will end up with an unequal. so then the protons and electrons control the balancy in the element.
- The electron cloud is the cloud the holds the electrons.
- The nucleus is the very middle or the center of the atom.
